ABOUT IPR & COACH JEN…
It all started with a game of PURSUIT. As a third grader in Connecticut, Jen wanted to be just like her Dad, an avid runner. Therefore, one night, they headed to the track, where Jen had to run four laps to Dad’s five laps. Jen won. The following week, it was 11 to 12 laps. Jen won again. Eventually, Jen was the one running more laps, and she entered her first official cross-country race one year later, which she won again. A running fanatic was born…
Jen continued on to run competitively for her high school and as an NCAA DI XC/TF athlete at Lehigh University, where she met her husband, Mike, who was also on the team. Since the arrival of their two sons, Logan & Cooper, Jen earned her first marathon victory at the 2019 Myrtle Beach Marathon in 2:51 and continues to train and race in her spare time. She feels fortunate to now to be “handing off the baton” and coaching her sons’ elementary school run club program.

In 2011 at Fleet Feet Sports in Greensboro NC, Jen launched one of the area’s most successful 5K through ultra-marathon personalized training programs, the “Streakers.” In the program’s 10 years of existence, participation increased by over five times since inception and served 700+ runners. Jen has also worked with countless individuals worldwide and is certified by the USA Track and Field (USATF) and Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). Her training philosophy lies heavily in quality over quantity, with an emphasis on proper recovery techniques to keep runners running.
In 2021 post-pandemic, Jen launched IPR. In today’s society where taking time to pursue your own talents and dreams is often frowned upon, Jen firmly believes in its importance. Jen thrives upon helping runners fit their training in around the demands of every day life, from work to school to parenthood, so that they are happier and successful in not just running itself, but in everything they do.
